‘Hard Knocks’ shows Corey Coleman asked Browns to trade him
Corey Coleman was traded to the Buffalo Bills a little over a week ago in a move that caught many by surprise. Thanks to HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” we know how the trade came about.
In the second episode of this year’s edition of “Hard Knocks,” HBO showed that Coleman complained to Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson about playing with the second-team offense. Coleman suggested the Browns trade him if they didn’t want to play him.
Via #HardKnocks Corey Coleman confronted Hue Jackson about running 2nd team. Hue said “Go ask Todd [Haley]” Coleman responded "if you don’t want me to play why don’t y’all just trade me”

So guess what? The Browns did trade the wide receiver.
Coleman was the No. 15 in the 2016 draft by the Browns — one of the team’s multiple first-round picks in recent years who didn’t work out. All the Bills had to give up was a 2020 7th-round pick in exchange.
Coleman has 718 yards and five touchdowns in two seasons.
