Highway patrol man in trouble for Christine Michael photo
The highway patrol trooper who pulled Dallas Cowboys running back Christine Michael over on Sunday and asked for a photo is in trouble with his department, according to a report.
As we told you, Michael posted on Instagram that he was pulled over on his way to the team’s game against the Patriots. He claimed in his caption that he was simply was asked to take a picture with the trooper, who appeared to be overjoyed during the photo.
TMZ says that Michael was actually pulled over for tinted windows, but the trooper let him go without a citation.
“The trooper’s actions have been reviewed by DPS and are not consistent with department procedure,” a sergeant told TMZ Sports.
“Corrective action, in the form of a procedural review, will be taken. In conversations with his chain of command, the trooper realized his error in judgement and was apologetic for the incident.”
The whole story didn’t sound right, and now we know why. And now we know why some athletes try to pull the “do you know who I am?” line — sometimes it works all too well!
