Here is how much money Andrew Luck gave up by retiring
Andrew Luck made the shocking decision to retire from the NFL due to the toll all of his injuries have taken on his body and mind. His decision shows how much he values his health over money.
Luck was in the middle of a five-year, $123 million contract extension he signed with the Indianapolis Colts in June 2016. According to Spotrac, Luck still had $64 million left on his contract. The quarterback was due a $6 million roster bonus on September 17.

Luck had made just over $97 million during his playing career, which lasted from 2012-2018 (including the 2017 season, which he missed due to shoulder surgery). The Colts have $12.8 million of Luck’s signing bonus allocated over 2019 and 2020, which they could ask for back given the quarterback’s retirement.
