Indianapolis Colts fans did not exactly express gratitude towards Andrew Luck after learning of his shocking retirement decision on Saturday night.
Luck was on the sidelines for the Colts’ preseason game against the Chicago Bears when news broke that he was retiring from the NFL. He was escorted off the field at Lucas Oil Stadium at the end of the team’s 27-17 loss. Fans were heard booing him:

Colts fans have every right to be upset over the news, but they should not be booing Luck.
The 29-year-old played through injuries upon injuries during his career with the team and still led them to the playoffs four times and two division titles. He decided to walk away from the game despite being owed around $64 million because injuries had worn him down. The fans can be angry, but booing him shows no compassion whatsoever.
They likely know how lucky they were to have Luck and Peyton Manning back-to-back and understand how difficult it will be to find another franchise quarterback.
