Hue Jackson confirms Josh Gordon will play in Week 1
Josh Gordon missed a large portion of training camp with the Cleveland Browns as he continued with his treatment program, but the star wide receiver is expected to be on the field when the regular season kicks off.
Browns head coach Hue Jackson told reporters on Monday that Gordon will play in Week 1, though he said the former Pro Bowler will not be starting.

Gordon has kept in tremendous shape even while he has been away from the Browns, so the news isn’t really a shock. It’s unclear if Cleveland’s interest in another star wide receiver had anything to do with uncertainty surrounding Gordon’s status, but there appear to be no questions about his preparedness with less than two weeks until the start of the regular season.
