Jackson Mahomes claims spot on infamous NFL list

Patrick Mahomes is among the more likable players in the NFL, but his brother and fiancee are a different story.

Mahomes’ brother Jackson and fiancee Brittany Matthews are so disliked by fans that they ranked as among the most disliked NFL figures according to one metric.

BetOnline put together research on which NFL figures received the most negative tweets during the month of December. Their list revealed that Aaron Rodgers, Antonio Brown and Bill Belichick received the most negative tweets that month, with Rodgers receiving more than anyone else on the list by far.

What was interesting was seeing a non-player or coach come in so highly on the list.

Jackson Mahomes ranked as the 6th-most disliked NFL figure in December with 71,349 negative tweets. Further down the top-20 list was Matthews, who was 17th with 10,404 negative tweets.

The other notable theme is how passionate — and dissatisfied — Patriots fans were, as evidenced by Belichick, former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, and team owner Robert Kraft all making the list.

What are some of the reasons why Patrick’s brother is so disliked? In September, he poured water on Ravens fans after a loss. Then he committed a major faux pas in October.

Jackson and Matthews are loud, obnoxious, and pretentious, all while riding the coattails of Patrick. All of that leads them to be so disliked by NFL fans. They were the only two spectators to make the list.
