Report: Jadeveon Clowney ‘adamant’ he does not want to play for Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans have engaged in trade talks surrounding Jadeveon Clowney, but there apparently is one pretty significant problem.
Clowney is adamant he does not want to play for the Dolphins, according to the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson.
One league source informed of Jadeveon Clowney's thinking reiterated that he remains adamant he doesn't want to play for the Miami Dolphins regardless of the trade discussions between Texans and Dolphins

Clowney was assigned a franchise tag by the Texans and is set to earn $16 million this season, but he has not reported to the team. The Texans did not reach a long-term contract extension with Clowney before the deadline, indicating they are likely to lose him in free agency. Rather than lose him for nothing, they have been exploring trades. The Dolphins would make sense, except the franchise is in tanking mode, so Clowney would probably prefer to play for a contender, which is why he reportedly had his eye on a couple of NFC squads.
The 26-year-old former No. 1 overall pick recently fired his agent as he tries to clear up his future. Clowney had 47 tackles and nine sacks last season.
