Jadeveon Clowney has dealt with a number of injuries over the past year that occurred on the football field. Thanks to D.J. Swearinger’s dog, Clowney suffered at least one injury off the gridiron as well.
According to police records obtained by SportsRadio 610 in Houston, Clowney was recently bit by Swearinger’s pit bull and had to go to the emergency room for treatment. The dog broke skin on Clowney’s arm with a bite that was described as “minor.”
As standard procedure with a dog bite, police were made aware of the incident by emergency room staff. A standard home quarantine was issued for Swearinger’s dog.
“Animal control handled it as a standard call,” Pearland Police Lieutenant Patrick Savage explained. “Standard procedures were followed by out humane department and the animal control officer who went out there.”
Clowney can’t seem to catch a break. The bad news we recently heard about his knee was concerning enough. Now he has to deal with being attacked by a teammate’s dog? Hopefully Clowney’s sophomore season brings more luck than his rookie season did.
