The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to sharpen their swords.

Jacksonville announced on Thursday that they have signed veteran safety Terrell Edmunds ahead of OTAs. Defensive back Tre Flowers and linebacker Ty Summers are also signing with the team.

Edmunds, an ex-first-round pick in 2018 (No. 28 overall), is easily the biggest name of the three. He rose to prominence as the starting strong safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2018-22. Last year, Edmunds split time between the Tennessee Titans and Philadelphia Eagles. Despite not being a regular starter for either team, he remained productive with 48 combined tackles, an interception, a forced fumble, and a career-high 2.5 sacks over 16 total games.

The brother of Bears linebacker Tremaine and former Steelers running back Trey, Terrell toggles between both safety positions these days and can also work out of the box or out of the slot. That should be plenty helpful for a Jaguars defense that has already improved up front this offseason.
