Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown had some fans concerned with his social media activity following the team’s Week 5 win, but Jalen Hurts is not giving the posts much thought.

In a post on X that has since been deleted, Brown shared an image of a quote from the Bible that discusses how to handle frustration.

“If you’re not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way,” the verse reads.

Brown was targeted a team-high 9 times in Philadelphia’s 31-25 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, but he had just 2 catches for 9 yards. Fans speculated that the Bible verse Brown shared was reflective of the frustration is he feeling with his role in the Eagles’ offense.

Hurts was asked on Wednesday about Brown’s post. The star quarterback said he has no interest in trying to decipher his teammate’s social media messages.

“I’m not going to analyze or speculate. I think he’s always wanted to contribute and that remains. Onward,” Hurts said.

Hurts added that he has a “good” relationship with Brown.

Jalen Hurts said he read A.J. Brown’s tweet after the game. Asked for his reaction, the #Eagles QB said:

“I’m not going to analyze or speculate. I think he’s always wanted to contribute and that remains. Onward.”

Later, I asked Hurts how his relationship was with the WR:

Brown also addressed some of the speculation about his post. He said Wednesday that it was not directed at anyone with the Eagles.

“First off, I want to start off by saying, obviously Sunday after the game, I let my frustrations boil over,” Brown said, via Cayden Steele of NJ.com. “I didn’t speak to the media. I had a chance to correct my frustrations and I continued to let it boil over. That’s on me. I take full accountability on that. Posting that my message on Twitter wasn’t directed at anyone in the building. Not my coaches, not my quarterback, my GM, nobody.”

Brown did not, however, reveal the motive behind sharing the quote.

The Eagles are 4-0, but Brown has just 14 catches for 151 yards and 1 touchdown on the season. Most of that production came in Week 3, when he had 6 catches for 109 yards and a touchdown. That performance came after Brown made some interesting remarks about Philly’s offense.
