Jared Goff could reportedly start for Rams in Week 11

Jared Goff

The Los Angeles Rams enter Sunday’s game against the New York Jets on a four-game losing streak. Starting quarterback Case Keenum has thrown eight interceptions during that span, which is why he may not be the team’s starting quarterback much longer.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that rookie first-round pick Jared Goff could get his first NFL start as early as Week 11 if Keenum struggles again on Sunday. The Rams reportedly want Goff to make his first pro start at home, and the team will face the Miami Dolphins in L.A. next weekend.

Fans have been calling for Goff to start for several weeks, but Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has continued to support Keenum. While one recent report claimed Goff is not going to play until the Rams are out of playoff contention, Fisher gave a different reason when asked about the quarterback situation last week.

The Rams are 3-5 on the season and have a 1-3 record at home. They have not generated the type of buzz they hoped with the highly-anticipated move to L.A., and fans are starting to turn on Keenum. Another bad start may leave Fisher with no choice.
