Report: Jay Cutler to Dolphins ‘picking up steam’
Ryan Tannehill’s injury may mean Jay Cutler’s retirement is short-lived.
According to NFL reporter Benjamin Allbright, talks between Cutler and the Miami Dolphins are “gaining steam” amid fears that Tannehill may have suffered a season-ending knee injury.

Coach Adam Gase knows Cutler well as they spent a year together with the Chicago Bears, so at this late stage of the offseason, such a move makes perfect sense. Cutler is formally retired, but the opportunity to spend a season as the starter on a playoff team would likely prove too difficult for him to turn down.
