Jay Gruden: I have not heard anything ‘from or about’ Su’a Cravens

If Su’a Cravens has decided he wants to return to the Washington Redskins and continue his football career, the defensive back has apparently not mentioned it to the people who matter.

On Monday, Jay Gruden was asked about a report over the weekend that claimed Cravens is expected to return to the Redskins in the coming days. The coach said he has not spoken with Cravens or been informed of any of the former second-round pick’s intentions.

Cravens underwent a knee operation last month and could still be dealing with some health issues from that. Although, some comments Gruden made about the situation a couple weeks back indicated Cravens’ absence from the team has less to do with that and more to do with personal issues.

It’s unclear why Cravens left the team to begin with, but there have been indications that he won’t just be plugged back into the starting lineup as soon as he chooses to return.
