Bettis, the No. 10 overall pick by the Rams in 1993, was a six-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro. He rushed for 13,662 yards in his career and 91 touchdowns, placing him sixth and tied for 10th respectively all-time. The Bus walked out of the game on top by famously winning the Super Bowl in the 2005 season in his hometown of Detroit and then retiring. He will be the 23rd member of the Steelers franchise and 11th former Notre Dame player elected to the Hall when his enshrinement comes on Aug. 8.
During his career, Bettis was named AP Offensive Rookie of the Year in 1993, AP Comeback Player of the Year in 1996, and Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2001.
