Ex-Colt Jerrell Freeman blasts Coby Fleener: ‘That’s what little girls do’
It should come as no surprise that some of Coby Fleener’s ex-teammates disagree with the tight end’s assessment of the 2015 Indianapolis Colts, and linebacker Jerrell Freeman decided to speak on behalf of the other side Sunday night.
Freeman, who played with Fleener for four seasons in Indy, unloaded on Fleener in a text message to Bob Kravitz of WTHR.
“Fleener, he didn’t have the (guts),” Freeman wrote. “That (bleep) pisses me off. And he must’ve been looking in the mirror when he did the interview.
“I despise guys like that. That’s what little girls do, talk about you when you’re not around. I’m a grown man. If I see something I don’t like, I’m going to go have a face-to-face convo with that player/players and we are going to get an understanding! I feel like I had a hand in building what’s over there (in Indianapolis), so he’s (bleeping) on me, too.”
Fleener, who signed a five-year, $36 million deal with the New Orleans Saints last week, questioned the character of some members of the 2015 Colts. You can read his surprising comments here.
“That’s a b–ch move,” Freeman added. “You can print all that, brotha!”
The Colts went 8-8 last season and remained in the playoff hunt despite Andrew Luck missing most of the season. Some would say they responded admirably to adversity, especially when you consider all the rumors that were floating around about front office tension. We’re guessing Freeman isn’t alone in his opinion about Fleener.
