Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was not a happy camper as his team unraveled Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Cowboys trailed for nearly the entire second half of the Week 5 clash at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. But the home team was still alive on their final drive, trailing 24-16 with a chance to tie the game.
Dallas threatened for a touchdown with just over a minute left. Facing 2nd-and-1 right outside the red zone, Dak Prescott tried to hit tight end Jake Ferguson up the middle. But Ferguson got wrapped up as he tried to make the grab, deflecting the ball into the air instead.
Buccaneers linebacker Alex Anzalone made the grab to seal the win for Tampa Bay.

George Pickens crashed out on the field after the interception. Jones was equally upset from his owner’s suite, slamming the table in disgust as his team’s nightmare loss became inescapable.

Thursday’s game was meant to be a layup for the Cowboys. The Buccaneers entered the road contest with a 0-4 record and a rookie quarterback starting in place of the injured Baker Mayfield.
Instead, the Bucs outscored the Cowboys with their third-quarter output alone, scoring 17 unanswered points in the period. It didn’t help that new defensive acquisition Joey Porter Jr. was battling an illness that some Cowboys fans were suspicious about.
