The Dallas Cowboys have been handling the Tony Romo situation cautiously, but it sounds like the veteran quarterback will finally be ready to play for the team next week.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said after Dallas’ win at Pittsburgh on Sunday that Romo would be active in Week 11, though he would be serving as the backup quarterback.

The Cowboys were cautious with Romo for two reasons. One, they didn’t want to rush him back from his back injury. Two, the longer they held him out, the more it gave time for the QB controversy to sort itself out. And that’s exactly what happened.
Dak Prescott has played so well in leading the Cowboys to an 8-1 record that you simply cannot bench him. He went 22 of 32 for 319 yards and two touchdown passes in leading the Cowboys to a road win over the Steelers. This was a game many thought they would lose, yet Dallas has now gone 5-0 on the road and appears to be the top team in the NFC. There is no quarterback controversy, because the job and team belongs to Prescott.
