New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn was unhappy with a question he received from a reporter following the team’s tough loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

The Jets struggled to get anything going offensively during their 13-11 Week 6 loss to the Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. Justin Fields went 9/17 for just 45 yards. The quarterback took 9 sacks for 55 yards, meaning New York’s passing offense finished with a net total of -10 yards.

During his postgame press conference, Glenn was asked if Fields will still be the quarterback of the Jets in Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers. Glenn reacted like the question was silly.

“Come on, man. What kind of question is that?” Glenn asked in response. “There’s a number of guys that … sometimes this league is like this. There are guys that have bad games. That doesn’t mean you just bench them. Come on, you know better than that.”

Fields ended up with a solid stat line in last week’s 37-22 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He went 32/46 for 283 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions, but most of the production came in garbage time when Dallas had built a huge lead.

Fields has 4 passing touchdowns, 3 rushing touchdowns and no picks on the season. He has done a good job of protecting the ball, but the Jets are 0-6 and coming off their worst offensive performance of the season. The reporter’s question was hardly outlandish, even if Glenn chose to throw his full support behind Field.
