The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins appeared to be battling on Sunday for the right to call themselves the worst team in the NFL, and the Jets may have captured the “crown” on one single play late in the second half.
Trailing 24-15 and trying to somehow get back in the game, the Jets gave up a safety on a miscommunication between Sam Darnold and center Jonotthan Harrison. Harrison snapped the ball before Darnold was ready, and it went right out the back out the end zone.

Miami took a 26-15 lead on the play and went on to pick up their first win of the season.
While that wasn’t quite the most embarrassing play in Jets history, it definitely sums up how disappointing New York has been this season.
