Jets going back to Geno Smith over Michael Vick
The New York Jets announced on Wednesday morning that Geno Smith — not Michael Vick — will start against the Miami Dolphins on Monday night.

While Vick left New York’s game against the Buffalo Bills in the third quarter with wrist and ankle injuries, the decision to return to Smith reportedly does not have to do with Vick’s health.
According to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, the belief surrounding the team is that general manager John Idzik insisted Ryan start Smith.
Overall, Vick has probably played better than Smith. That’s not saying much, as both have been pretty bad. Vick protected the ball in his first two starts and led the Jets to a surprising victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he was horrible against the Bills on Monday.
Neither Vick nor Smith is the long-term solution at quarterback for the Jets. Alternating between starters does nothing but create headlines.
