The New York Jets’ acquisition of Haason Reddick is looking somewhat questionable at the moment.

Reddick is not at the Jets’ minicamp, according to SNY reporter Connor Hughes. Hughes reported on Tuesday that Reddick is a holdout and that Jets head coach Robert Saleh believed Reddick would be in attendance.

The Jets acquired Reddick in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles in late March. The Jets gave up a conditional third-round pick for Reddick.

We noted at the time that the Jets were taking a risk by acquiring Reddick despite the defensive player not having a new contract in place. The 29-year-old linebacker is making it clear that regardless of whether he’s with Philly or New York, he wants a new deal. He is set to make just over $14 million in base salary in 2024, which is the final year of his current deal.

Reddick was the No. 13 overall pick by the Cardinals in 2017. He was signed by the Eagles prior to the 2022 season and had success with Philly. Reddick recorded 27 sacks in 34 games over the last two seasons. He made the Pro Bowl both years.
