Jets could reportedly trade veteran WR
The New York Jets are reportedly looking to move one of their wide receivers ahead of the NFL trade deadline.
Mecole Hardman signed a 1-year deal with the Jets last offseason that had the potential to be worth as much as $5.5 million. However, he was inactive for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos and has just one catch the entire season.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Jets are exploring the possibility of trading Hardman.
The #Jets are looking at options for Mecole Hardman, including a potential trade, per league sources.

Hardman previously spent four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs after they selected him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He made the Pro Bowl as a rookie for his contributions on special teams. While he never had a huge role in Kansas City’s offense, he made some explosive plays and looked like he had the potential to do the same with the Jets.
It is possible Hardman would have been a bigger part of New York’s plans if Aaron Rodgers did not go down with a season-ending injury. Either way, Hardeman’s tenure with the Jets looks like it will be very short-lived.
