
Jimmy Garoppolo left Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins with a shoulder injury, and the New England Patriots are reportedly optimistic that it is nothing serious.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Garoppolo is expected to miss New England’s game against the Houston Texans and could be back in Week 4.

Garoppolo took a hard hit from Dolphins linebacker Kiko Alonso and landed directly on his throwing shoulder. You can see a video of the play here.
Several reports have indicated Garoppolo suffered a sprained AC joint, though it is unclear how long he will be out. Tom Brady is set to return from his four-game suspension in Week 5, meaning we might not see Garoppolo again this season if he ends up missing the next two games.
