JJ Watt leaves Week 8 game with shoulder injury
JJ Watt has managed to stay healthy over the past two seasons after battling a number of significant injuries in 2016 and 2017, but the star defensive lineman was forced to leave Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders after hurting his shoulder.
Watt left in the first half with a shoulder injury, and the Texans eventually ruled him out for the remainder of the game.
Watt played in just eight games total in 2016 and 2017, but he bounced back in a big way last season. He appeared in all 16 games and had 16 sacks and seven forced fumbles, making the Pro Bowl and being named a First Team All-Pro. He underwent a procedure on his knee following the season, but it did not seem to hamper him at all early this year.
The Texans were trailing 14-10 at the time Watt left the game.
