Joe Flacco will be active, likely start Sunday

Joe Flacco’s injury scare appears unlikely to keep him out Sunday.

The Ravens quarterback will be active, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, with the Ravens failing to promote a quarterback for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.

Flacco and Ryan Mallett will be the active quarterbacks, and indications are that Flacco is healthy enough to start if he’s being kept active for the game.

There was some question as to whether Flacco would be able to go on Sunday after missing Wednesday’s practice. Everything has seemingly checked out okay since then. Granted, it remains to be seen if he’ll be fully effective or if the shoulder issue will hamper him in any way.
