Joe Haden got the contract extension from the Pittsburgh Steelers that he was seeking.
The 30-year-old cornerback agreed to a two-year, $22 million extension, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal reportedly will pay Haden a $16.8 million signing bonus.
Haden was in the final season of a 3-year, $27 million deal he signed with the Steelers two years ago. He is due to make $10 million in base salary this season.
Haden had 63 tackles and two interceptions in 15 games last season. The former No. 7 overall pick has performed well for Pittsburgh since being picked up by the team after the Browns cut him.
