Report: Johnny Manziel and his crew got in brawl after fan asked for a hug
A Cleveland Browns fan claims he was roughed up by Johnny Manziel and the QB’s entourage early Saturday morning after he requested a hug from the rookie quarterback.
According to a police report obtained by Cleveland Scene, the alleged victim, 33-year-old Chris Gonos, claims he and his girlfriend spotted Manziel in the lobby of a high-end apartment complex in Cleveland.
Gonos says he approached Manziel and told him, “I’m the biggest Browns fan ever, I love you, I want to give you a hug.” He claims he was punched in the face when he stepped toward Manziel and then jumped by Manziel’s friends.

Gonos claims Manziel sucker-punched his brother and that the altercation should be on video.
Police described the fight as a “riot” involving 20 men and two security guards. The general manager of The 9 offered no comment on the incident.
While we do not know if the alleged victim is telling the truth or not, it is worth noting that Manziel has been falsely accused of committing crimes in the past.
