Johnny Manziel rips ‘Twitter dorks’ in spat with Cleveland writer
Johnny Manziel was arguably one of the most disappointing first-round draft picks in NFL history, but the former quarterback never seems to tire of taking on trolls who criticize him for it.
Manziel ruffled some feathers over the weekend when he said on Twitter that the city of Cleveland “sucks.” Sportsnet’s Andy McNamara, who describes himself in his bio as a die hard Browns fan, took exception. McNamara fired a shot at Manziel over the 29-year-old’s history with drinking, and the two got into it from there.

Far from it just hate the Browns and love trolling you

But you are talking about a team and city that cut you years ago. Then you couldn't cut it in Canada either.
Cool trivia fact is that we both have the same amount of NFL playoff appearances! #brothers pic.twitter.com/hlbgi0XwV4

Manziel then hit McNamara with the “I still have my Heisman Trophy so nothing else matters” move.

Manziel has consistently tried to shift attention away from his NFL failures and onto his collegiate successes. That makes sense. He was a star at Texas A&M and a total bust in the NFL. While Manziel has openly admitted he screwed up his professional career, this isn’t the first time he has used his college accomplishments as a flex.
Manziel recently revealed his biggest career regret, and it had nothing to do with his failures in Cleveland.
