Johnny Manziel accused of trashing LA rental, leaving drugs behind

Johnny Manziel

Johnny Manziel recently said he has not been drinking during the offseason, but it’s probably safe to assume that isn’t true. The latest story about him and his friends allegedly trashing a Los Angeles rental home makes it even harder to believe.

A real estate broker who rented the L.A. property to Manziel told Page Six that Manziel and his friends caused $32,000 worth of damage and left booze and drugs all over the house. Photos that were shared with Page Six show lines of powder spread out on a coffee table and a bag of what is believed to be mushrooms.

Goodwin says he returned to the home at 2 p.m. (well after checkout time) and found the place trashed with Manziel sleeping on the sofa.

“They were supposed to check out at noon,” he said. “Manziel was passed out … There was cocaine all over the kitchen table, and mushrooms were still out on the table in front of him. There was booze everywhere … broken glasses over the floor and a Champagne glass in a tree. If they don’t respond to our demand for compensation, we will sue.”

Goodwin’s lawyer wrote a letter to Manziel’s representatives explaining that the crew caused “extensive damage” and that neighbors called police during two parties that lasted all night.

Manziel has done nothing this offseason that would make NFL teams believe he is committed to his football career. He lied about living with Von Miller in Los Angeles and has seemed completely wasted in at least one interview, which you can see here. Being accused of trashing a rental home during a drug-fueled rager isn’t going to help.
