Jonathan Stewart is dealing with a foot injury, and the Panthers could decide to play it safe by sitting him against the Giants on Sunday.
Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer reports that Stewart has been diagnosed with a sprained foot.

While it doesn’t sound like anything serious, Stewart has a long history of foot and ankle injuries. While the Panthers would love to go 16-0, the priority at the moment is keeping their core intact for the playoffs, even if one veteran doesn’t agree with Ron Rivera’s approach.
The Panthers can wrap up the No. 1 seed in the NFC this weekend with a win over New York and a Cardinals’ loss at Philadelphia. With three weeks remaining in the regular season, they are in better shape than any team in the conference.
