Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed is being evaluated for a concussion after taking a hit to the helmet during Thursday’s preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Reed was running after a catch in the second quarter and was tackled at the Washington 36. He was nailed by Keanu Neal in the helmet.
Jordan Reed took a BIG shot to the head from Keanu Neal.
15 yard penalty.
Oof. Not the kind of contact you want to see guys taking, especially in preseason.

The Redskins later announced that Reed was being evaluated for a concussion and out for the game.
Reed being evaluated for a concussion is a serious concern. He had two in college and as of October 2016, he had suffered three in the NFL. Reed has admitted that he has hid concussion symptoms in the past. Washington isn’t giving him a chance to do the same this time.
The 29-year-old had 54 catches for 558 yards and two touchdowns last season. He made the Pro Bowl in 2016.
