Josh Gordon has a road back into the NFL, but the some within the Cleveland Browns organization reportedly aren’t sure that they want to travel it with him.
According to Jason Cole of Bleacher Report, the Browns would like Gordon back in top shape, but there are some feeling less than patient toward him.
“[The Browns] hope that he can return to being the premier receiver they indicated he could be,” Cole said of Gordon. “Gordon is still on some thin ice with this team because he’s under a new coaching staff led by Hue Jackson, who has already said he’s not going to give Gordon any kind of latitude on this one, and by other sources within the Browns organization who have become weary of all of Gordon’s travails throughout his NFL career.”
Gordon will have to sit out the first four games of the season, but he’ll be free to play after provided he doesn’t end up in any further incidents. We would recommend not partying with this guy anytime soon. That would really sour the Browns on him.
