Josh Norman has already heard from about a quarter of the NFL since the Carolina Panthers rescinded his franchise tag on Wednesday.
Norman was franchise-tagged by the Panthers this offseason and could have made nearly $14 million if he signed it. However, the top cornerback wanted a long-term deal and was likely to turn into a problem for the team if they did not give him the type of contract he was seeking. Figuring that Norman was likely to miss offseason workouts and potentially hold out during training camp and the regular season, the Panthers decided to let Norman go.
Since becoming a free agent, The Charlotte Observer’s Joe Person reports that Norman has heard from 8-9 teams.

8-9 teams have contacted Josh Norman's representatives since Panthers rescinded the tag, per league source.

Norman was one of the best cornerbacks in the league last season, recording 56 tackles and four interceptions. Some detractors feel that Norman was somewhat of a system player, but the numbers prove that he was one of the best defensive players in the league. Whoever signs him might end up making Norman the highest-paid cornerback in the league.
