
Josh Norman on Sunday recorded his first interception since joining Washington over the offseason. But his great play was somewhat offset with a penalty he picked up.
Norman was penalized 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct after the interception of Cleveland Browns quarterback Cody Kessler. We see unsportsmanlike conduct penalties called often, but the specific language cited in Norman’s violation was unusual.
Yes, Norman was cited for “shooting a bow and arrow.” Here’s a look at it:

I have to tell you, that was the first time I’ve ever heard that explanation for a penalty. It’s a good thing Fernando Rodney doesn’t play in the NFL.
