Josh Norman shadowing Odell Beckham because Victor Cruz called him out?
Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman is finally expected to shadow the opposing team’s best receiver on Sunday, and it sounds like we can thank Victor Cruz for that.
After mainly sticking to one side of the field in the first two games of the season, Norman is reportedly set to follow Odell Beckham Jr. all around the field. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Cruz’s criticism of Norman helped the Redskins determine their defensive scheme.

Norman/Beckham (2/2) from Skins source: The coach’s granted Victor Cruz’s wish. We hope they are ready for what they asked for.

Cruz was one of several people who called out Norman after he did not cover Antonio Brown much in Week 1, and the Pittsburgh Steelers receiver burned the Redskins. You can read Cruz’s full comments here.
Washington has been stubborn about changing its defensive game plan, which has led to Norman hearing the same type of stuff Richard Sherman hears about only covering one side of the field. It will be interesting to see how the $15 million-per-year man does against Beckham. We all know what happened the last time the two squared off.
