Justin Herbert goes viral for funny celebration after rushing TD
Justin Herbert was deep in his bag with his celebration on Monday night.
The Los Angeles Chargers star quarterback Herbert opened up the scoring against the Baltimore Ravens with a five-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter. After being unable to find anybody open, Herbert called his own number and tucked the ball away for the score.
Herbert also kept the ball tucked away during his touchdown celebration. He did a dramatic U-turn out of the end zone with the pigskin still firmly in his grasp. Here is the video.

The celebration quickly went viral and was even dubbed the “ball security” celebration by Peyton and Eli Manning on ESPN’s “ManningCast.”

For the ex-Pro Bowler Herbert, that was only his second rushing touchdown of the season and just his fifth since 2022. Thus, he had to make the most out of his ground score on Monday night. The Chargers will also be much happier about that celebration than they were about the one by Herbert’s teammate earlier this season.
