Justin Jefferson makes absurd catch-of-the-year candidate against Rams on ‘TNF’
Justin Jefferson appears to have outdone himself once again.
The Minnesota Vikings star receiver Jefferson went viral during “Thursday Night Football” against the Los Angeles Rams for his latest physics-defying catch. In the third quarter of the contest, Jefferson got the step on Rams cornerback Darious Williams, and Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold aired it out for him.
Jefferson managed to get his left hand on the ball before it popped back out again, forcing him to reach back behind his head with his right arm in order to secure it. The three-time All-Pro successfully did so … all while managing to get both feet inbounds by the sideline.
Here is the unbelievable video.

Another angle showed just how wild the catch by Jefferson truly was.

The Vikings only managed a field goal on the drive after being stonewalled inside the five-yard line by the Rams. But that did not make Jefferson’s dazzling catch any less impressive.
Jefferson, a former NFL Offensive Player of the Year, is widely seen as the single best receiver in football today, and his ridiculous highlight-reel grabs like that one are part of the reason why. While that may not be the very best catch of Jefferson’s career (4th-and-18 would like a word), it is certainly going in the 25-year-old’s greatest hits collection.
