Kareem Hunt accuses some Browns teammates of taking plays off

The Cleveland Browns’ once-promising season continues to collapse into a mess of finger-pointing and discontent.

The latest shot comes from running back Kareem Hunt, who accused some unnamed teammates of not giving their full effort on every play in Sunday’s 38-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

“Yeah, I feel like there were some plays that everybody didn’t leave their 110% out there the whole play through the whole play, through the whole whistle,” Hunt said, via Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com. “And we’ve all got to do that if we want to be successful.”

Hunt added that he felt some of his teammates took entire plays off.

“I mean, yeah, I guess so but it’s everybody,” Hunt said. “You can’t point out one person or nothing like that. It’s everybody, and everybody got to do their job.”

The recrimination of a performance that saw the Browns get torched for 445 total yards is likely to continue. The worst story to come out of it was multiple players essentially asking the Cardinals to acquire them after the loss, suggesting that things are going very badly in Cleveland as their lost season moves toward its conclusion.
