Damontae Kazee, Torrey Smith, LeGarrette Blount fined for unnecessary roughness
The NFL handed out its list of fines for unnecessary roughness in Week 2 games, with several players on the list.
Numerous fines came out of Atlanta Falcons safety Damontae Kazee’s ugly hit on Carolina quarterback Cam Newton. Kazee was fined, as was Panthers wide receiver Torrey Smith for retaliating.

Also fined was Detroit Lions running back LeGarrette Blount, who came off the bench during Sunday’s game and shoved San Francisco 49ers linebacker Elijah Lee for a perceived hit on Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford.

At the moment, Kazee is appealing his fine. There is no word on whether any of the other players will do the same.
