Kyler Murray does not provide height measurement at his Pro Day

Kyler Murray

Kyler Murray’s draft stock received a huge boost at the NFL Scouting Combine when he measured a lot taller than most expected him to, but the Heisman Trophy winner did not give teams a chance to confirm his height on Tuesday.

Before working out for NFL coaches, scouts and executives at his Pro Day in Oklahoma, Murray stepped on the scale and weighed in at 205 pounds. He did not, however, take another height measurement.

Murray measured in at a tick over 5-foot-10 at the Combine, which was a big surprise after skeptics thought he was closer to 5-foot-8 than 5-foot-10. Some conspiracy theorists have even wondered if he somehow manipulated his height measurement in Indianapolis, but it’s unclear how the quarterback would go about doing that.

The human body can be strange, so Murray may have felt that he could only harm his stock if he happened to measure slightly less than the 5-foot-10 1/8 he registered at the Combine. Either that, or he was just trolling. The bigger story from Murray’s Pro Day might be which team chose not to show up.
