Laces were in on Adam Vinatieri’s missed field goal at end of loss
Adam Vinatieri missed a potential winning field goal during Sunday’s Indianapolis Colts 26-24 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and it turns out his holder did him no favors.
Vinatieri completely hooked the 43-yard field goal attempt with 1:11 left, effectively ensuring a Steelers win.

Upon closer review, the laces were in on the kick:

Even if the laces were in, Vinatieri should not be missing that badly. But he’s been having a brutal season, was contemplating retirement, but has remained with the team. The team’s decision to keep him this season after his terrible first two games was a bad one and is costing them. Vinatieri also missed an extra point in the game.
