Landon Collins says Eli Apple is ‘growing up’

It’s safe to say Landon Collins and Eli Apple did not get along at the end of last season, but things appear to have changed.

Collins had praise for Apple as minicamp got underway Monday, praising his maturity and skill level during camp so far this offseason.

Eli Apple made a nice play, breaking up a pass in end zone. Landon Collins: "I know you all have only seen a few (practices) … that’s not the only play he made. So, he’s doing his thing and I’m happy for him. He’s growing up, he’s doing his thing and playing great ball." #NYG

This is quite the turnaround. Collins was speaking quite differently about Apple at the end of last season, but the younger cornerback is getting a second chance and Collins is quite clearly willing to go along with it.
