Report: Leonard Fournette ‘perennially late,’ fell asleep in team meetings
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo did not paint a pretty picture of Fournette’s conduct with the Jaguars. Garafolo reported that the running back was often late, fell asleep during team meetings, did not put in the necessary work, and could be “moody” despite getting plenty of touches.
A few things here on Fournette from @MikeGarafolo:
•Perennially late
•Hasn’t put in the kind of work you need to succeed at this level
•He has been *sleeping* through meetings; they’ve had to wake him up a few times in the middle of team meetings— Andrew Gibson (@1010XLAG) April 20, 2020
We heard that there were character concerns with Fournette, and this would certainly qualify. Fournette had 1,674 all-purpose yards in 2019, but this illustrates why the Jaguars are still so eager to move on from him.
