Le’Veon Bell says Steelers-colored outfit was not meant to be ‘petty’
Le’Veon Bell made some headlines with his choice of attire on Sunday, but he insists that there was no hidden meaning behind it.
The New York Jets star arrived to the weekend showdown against his former team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, in a Steelers-colored black and yellow outfit.

After the game, Bell shot down the notion that it was shade at his old club.
“I wasn’t doing it to be petty or nothing,” he said, per ESPN’s Rich Cimini. “I thought it would draw a little attention. That’s all it was.”
The three-time Pro Bowler rushed for 72 yards and added another 21 yards receiving, as the Jets took down the Steelers by a 16-10 final. While he has done some petty things this season, Bell probably just wanted to have some harmless fun in the wake of the matchup against his former squad.
