Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly was ejected from Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers for making contact with an official.
Referee Steve Freeman came up from behind Kuechly and tried to remove him from a pile/potential trouble, and Kuechly, not knowing who was forcibly moving him around, waived his arms to get the person off of him.

Unluckily for Kuechly, it happened to be an official who decided to ejected him for a personal foul.

FOX NFL rules expert Mike Pereira said he didn’t think there was enough contact to warrant an ejection, but he thinks the league will defend it because they are protective of the referees.

Kuechly is not expected to be fined for the play. After the game, he said there was no excuse for his actions.
More Kuechly:"You can't worry if somebody's grabbing you. You've got to keep your cool." Said he wasn't sure who was behind him pulling him.
