Marcus Williams wanted nothing to do with tackling Rob Gronkowski (Video)
There was some talk after Week 1 that Rob Gronkowski may have lost a step and could struggle with explosiveness this season, but New Orleans Saints safety Marcus Williams did his best to put that to rest early on Sunday.
The Patriots took a 13-3 lead over the Saints in the first quarter after Tom Brady and Gronkowski hooked up for a big play. With pressure closing in on Brady, Gronk got open down the field and scored a 53-yard touchdown:
GET. OFF. HIM.

As you can see, the only person standing in the way of Gronk and the end zone was Williams, a rookie out of Utah. We’ll let you guess how that one went.

Williams might as well have just laid down and let Gronkowski steamroll him. Gronk may have had trouble against All-Pro safety Eric Berry last week, but it’s a bit early to be writing him off. Just ask Williams.
