Ravens make key move with Mark Andrews ahead of AFC Championship
Mark Andrews has been working his way back from a serious leg injury, and it looks like the star tight end has been cleared to return.
The Baltimore Ravens on Friday activated Andrews from injured reserve and added him to the roster. That clears the way for Andrews to play in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Andrews practiced leading up to Baltimore’s win over the Houston Texans last week, but he was inactive for the game. He has been trending toward playing in the AFC Championship Game and should provide a huge boost in the passing game for the Ravens.
Andrews suffered a cracked fibula and ligament damage to his right ankle during Baltimore’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11. He was placed on injured reserve but had his 21-day practice window opened on Jan. 12.
Lamar Jackson has leaned on Andrews in big moments over the past several seasons. The tight end had 45 catches for 544 yards and 6 touchdowns before he went down in Week 11.
