Miami Dolphins running back Mark Walton was recently suspended for four games for violating the NFL’s personal conduct and substance abuse policies, and the former fourth-round pick has now been waived by the team on the heels of a separate incident.
The Dolphins announced in a statement that they have waived Walton after they became aware of a “police matter” that arose early Tuesday morning.

Walton’s suspension reportedly stemmed from multiple arrests and incidents he was involved in during the offseason, so the latest legal issue appears to have been the last straw for him with the Dolphins. Details of the incident are unclear.
Walton, a former University of Miami star, had been the Dolphins’ featured back since they traded Kenyan Drake. He had 201 yards rushing on 53 attempts this season.
