The Dolphins were aware that Walton was facing a suspension from the league. The suspension stems from the multiple arrests/incidents Walton was involved in during the offseason.
Dolphins head coach Brian Flores said that Walton’s behavior has been good since he’s been with the team and that the running back would rejoin the team after serving the suspension.

Walton has been the team’s featured back since the trade of Kenyan Drake. He had 29 yards on 12 rushes in Sunday’s win over the Jets. Kalen Ballage is likely to take over running back duties in Walton’s absence.
