Marshawn Lynch reportedly has been contemplating retirement, but if he decides to continue playing, the Seahawks are going to make it worth his while.
According to a report from Yahoo’s Rand Getlin, the Seahawks have offered Lynch a deal that would pay him between $11 and 12 million in the first year and $9 million in the second year. The contract could be for three years with the understanding that Lynch, who will be 29 in April, could retire after next season.
CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora went one step further, saying Lynch has a new deal in place with the Seahawks:

Marshawn Lynch has a new deal in place with the Seahawks according to league sources.

Lynch’s agent Doug Hendrickson refuted that report:
Contrary to reports there is no marshawn lynch deal.

FOX’s Mike Garafolo seconded Hendrickson:
Source says Seahawks continue to have positive discussions with Marshawn Lynch's camp but nothing imminent. Status quo for now.

La Canfora eventually backed off slightly, but he still maintains the offer will result in a deal for Lynch:
Doug Hendrickson, agent for Marshawn Lynch, says "there is no deal done." I continue to hear SEA has offer on table that will result in deal

Despite all the talk during the season that the Seahawks would part ways with Lynch, Beast Mode proved that he is invaluable. Seattle would be foolish to let him walk and expect another player to fill in with similar impact.
